They Only Steal from the Best

Hi. Over a year ago my friend Mike Peterson made this ad and was nominated for an Emmy as a result:
And then, a few months ago, an online ad service called SuperPages made this spot:
To be fair, he didn’t win the Emmy, so, I guess they only steal from the nominated.

Interesting. There’s also a series of various ads for a national insurance company, being run on TV, that depicts people in [drum roll] bright YELLOW CAPES
I don’t think that every superhero on TV is stolen from Mike, I might add (and its well known that yellow looks good and contrasty on TV) but that one seems especially… similar. Including the voice talent.
I know! I said the exact same thing to Aaron when we first saw this- its not just airing online, its their new campaign and they play the shit out of it on tv. fuckers.
