Listen to My Nasal Voice at the Enthusiasts’ Radio Hour

Posted by Sunday on Jul 16, 2010 at 11:08 am

In the ongoing discovery of things I do poorly, we can now solidly list “speaking.”  Luckily Brian Salvatore at the Enthusiasts’ Radio Hour and his bechamel voice make things a bit more auditorially palatable.   I suspect we were a bitch to edit.  Also: Dell laptops?  Not the best microphones in the world.  Take note.

To wit: myself and contributor Aaron Leva were interviewed for Mr. Salvatore’s charming and well-produced podcast in an episode called P B and O, named after yours truly (you’ll have to hear why).  It’s a long podcast — almost an hour and a half long and we make up only a portion of the whole show– but you won’t regret listening to the whole thing.  It’s all about food enthusiasm!  You remember enthusiasm, don’t you?  I barely do, but the podcast helped me recall bits and pieces.  Also I name-drop Apelad.

If you don’t want to download the show from the link above than you can listen to it online at Mevio.  Well!  How exciting.  And further thanks to Brian for overflowing with compliments and having that masterful “podcast voice” that makes you feel like you’re on This American Life.

Go!  Listen!

Whatever, you sound exactly like yourself: enthusiastic and full of nerdy foodrage. And of course I love your voice since you’ve essentially been reduced to a talk-box BFF bot now that we never see each other (well, except for the occasional inexplicably awkward video chat)

And yay, you all get to hear the soothing melodic tones of Aargh, my hubs as he waxes sentimental about …chexmix.
    heh.

    Good job guys!

it’s like a savory dinner cereal.

Yes, you sound like you. I listened to this and I missed you. When I had you around day to day I laughed a lot. I am so glad I had so many years with you as an audience and entertainer.

My “chex mix” food is a whole wheat pita pizza. Not so odd but I like it, especially with pineapple.

My last meal would be Bun. Chicken or Pork….with imperial roll.

Fun (and hilarious) interview Sunday and Aaron! You guys crack my ass up.
    * Sunday, with your permission, may I suggest for those who don’t have a whole lot of extra time to listen to the entire podcast over the net-tubes in one sitting , . I strongly encourage Anger Burger fans to download the entire podcast and save it to your computer or iPod/MP3 player (the Anger Burger session begins at 26:00 minutes in, running to 107:00 [approximately]). Then, enjoy listening to the full show … while you whip up some of Aaron’s signature ‘Savory Dinner Cereal’ for your kids, mate or mother-in-law. Oh, and remember to make a PB and O for your lunch at work on Monday!
I just signed-on and became a ‘follower’ of Brian Salvatore’s excellent programming over at the Enthusiast’s Radio Hour … you should too!

It’s great to hear your voice after over 5 years. On the flipside, is the revelation that you were making these “PBO’s” IN.MY.PRESENCE.

    I still feel dirty.
