I think maybe I didn’t emphasize the excitement yesterday when I wrote about the storm.
Mike the Viking went out and took some photos while he robbed the peasants of their larder goods.
No big deal. Just a couple of power lines and houses and stuff. Nothing that seven days of freezing rain can’t finish off.
My thoughts exactly.

I’d heard about the storms you NWers were having but these are the first pix I’ve seen. Jeeze. WHAT THE HELL DO THE BIRDIES DO TO SURVIVE??? Stay home and bake monkey bread, Sunday. Meanwhile, I will suck it up and shut it the next time I start to think about whining about our cold 57 degree sunny days here in Sonoma County, CA.

My mom and I discussed this once: where do the squirrels go in the storms, too? Do they leave the trees? Are the forests littered with birdies and squirrels hiding down in the bushes? It seems unlikely, but it seems equally impossible that they’re still up there holding on.
